Frequently Asked Questions
What are color harmonies?
Color harmonies are combinations of colors that are visually pleasing together. They're based on the color wheel: complementary colors are opposite each other, triadic uses three evenly spaced colors, and analogous colors are next to each other.
What's the difference between HEX, RGB, and HSL?
HEX is a six-digit code representing red, green, and blue values (#RRGGBB). RGB specifies the same values as numbers 0-255. HSL describes colors by Hue (color wheel position), Saturation (intensity), and Lightness (brightness), which is often more intuitive for adjustments.
What are tints and shades?
Tints are created by adding white to a color, making it lighter. Shades are created by adding black, making it darker. Together, they help create a complete color palette from a single base color.
